RANZCR NZ Branch Annual Scientific Meeting

Outshine has been successfully managing the RANZCR NZ ASM, since 2008 as one of the first medical conference contracts that we secured. We are delighted that 13 years later we are still the PCO for their annual NZ event, which is held in August and alternates between a North and South Island location.

The 2025 NZ Annual Scientific Meeting was held over three days at Takina, Wellington, New Zealand. The Clinical Radiology and Radiation Oncology Faculty sessions ran concurrently, with specialist pre–conference streams for trainees. A sold-out exhibition of 25 companies participated, with a record number of 388 registered attendees. The off-site conference dinner was held at Parliament House.

Our involvement

Outshine has organised the RANZCR NZ ASM, since 2008. The event is held in August, and has been hosted in major locations in New Zealand including Wellington, Auckland, Queenstown, Rotorua and Nelson.

The programme is two days, and two streams with pre-conference trainee sessions. Keynote speakers are invited from Australia, North America and the Northern Hemisphere. Around 60 abstract submissions are received for both poster and oral presentation.  Social functions include industry pre-conference networking event, a welcome reception, and a conference dinner.

Industry sponsored hands-on and lecture based workshops are offered to complement the scientific program.

The meeting averages 320 in person delegates. Attendees are from New Zealand, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Registrants are a mix of Specialists, Registrars and Trainees, JMO’s and healthcare industry.

Healthcare industry and pharmaceutical companies attend the ASM as sponsors and exhibitors. Up to 20-25 booths are purchased each year, with investment levels growing in recent years. Supporting companies are from the Australasian and Asia–Pacific regions.
